DTC 65: Passenger PRETENSIONER Short To Ground

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) connector and passenger-side seat belt pretensioner connector. Check continuity between ground and terminals No. 3 (Black wire) and/or No. 4 (White wire) of ACU connector. See Figure. If continuity exists, replace harness between ACU and pretensioner. If continuity does not exist, replace seat belt pretensioner. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
