DTC 60: Passenger Module Open

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) connector. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. Check continuity of Green/Yellow wire between ACU connector terminal No. 14 and passenger-side air bag harness connector terminal No. 2. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness between ACU and passenger-side air bag module.
  2. Check continuity of Green/Red wire between terminal No. 13 of ACU connector and terminal No. 3 of passenger-side air bag harness connector. If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness. If continuity exists, replace passenger-side air bag module. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
