DTC 35: Warning Light Short
- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Access and disconnect Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) connector. Check for continuity between ACU connector terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire) and ground. See Figure. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace ACU. See AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT (ACU) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Disconnect in-line connector located between ACU connector and instrument cluster connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check for continuity between ACU connector terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire) and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness between ACU and wire connector.
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector. Check for continuity between ground and terminal No. B11 (Yellow wire) of instrument cluster connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity exists, replace AIR BAG warning light bulb socket or instrument cluster. If continuity does not exist, replace harness between instrument cluster and in-line connector.
