TITLE: Antenna Mast Replacement

SERVICE TIP:






The antenna mast is now available separately and can be replaced by following this procedure. The part number for the replacement mast is 96253 38000.

- Turn radio power on to extend antenna mast. Remove upper antenna mounting nut using a 12 mm wrench.






- Pull old mast with cable from antenna tube.
Note: Some amount of force is needed to disengage cable from spool inside of motor housing.






- Feed new cable into antenna and push down until it engages with spool inside of motor housing.
Note: Some amount of force is needed to engage cable with spool.

- Slide mast into antenna tube as far as possible and reinstall mounting nut.
- Turn radio power off so the antenna motor will retract the mast down into its housing.
- Turn radio power on and off to verify the mast extends and retracts okay.
