Brake Pedal-To-Floor Clearance (Depressed): Inspection

  1. Verify that clearance from floor to center of the pedal pad is as specified when pedal is pressed with a force of about 132 lb (65 Kg).

    Pedal-to-floor clearance: Minimum: 2.75 in (70.0 mm) 

  2. If clearance is less than required, check for the following.
    1. Air in brake system.
    2. Malfunctioning automatic adjuster (rear brake drums).
