Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Is the ATF condition and level okay? If so, go to next step. If the condition of the fluid is burnt or contaminated, check and repair cause. See appropriate OVERHAUL article. If the fluid is low, check and repair any leaks at transaxle or cooler lines.
  2. Torque converter is worn or damaged. Overhaul transaxle. See appropriate OVERHAUL article.
