Wheel Bearing

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Position dial indicator against drum and measure bearing play. Check bearing axial play by rocking hub assembly by hand.
  2. Maximum bearing play is .002" (.05 mm). If play exceeds specification, check spindle lock nut torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . If lock nut is tightened to specification, replace hub assembly.
