Removal (Optima)
NOTE:
Use a suitable container or rags to collect fluid when disconnecting pressure and return lines.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain power steering fluid. Remove joint assembly connecting bolt. Disconnect tie rod from knuckle. Disconnect front muffler. Remove front and rear roll stop connectors.
- Remove crossmember mounting bolts. Disconnect high pressure hose and return tube. Remove steering gear mounting brackets.
