DTC 66: Passenger PRETENSIONER Short To Battery

NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram and Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector identification when diagnosing faults. See Figure & Figure .

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector and passenger-side seat belt pretensioner connector. Check for battery voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black wire) and-or terminal No. 4 (White wire) of ADU connector. If battery voltage exists, replace harness between ADU and pretensioner. If battery voltage does not exist, replace seat belt pretensioner. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
