DTC 65: Passenger PRETENSIONER Short To Ground

NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram and Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector identification when diagnosing faults. See Figure & Figure .

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector and passenger-side seat belt pretensioner connector. Check for continuity between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black wire) and-or terminal No. 4 (White wire) of ADU connector. If continuity exists, replace harness between ADU and pretensioner. If continuity does not exist, replace pretensioner. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
