DTC 63: Driver PRETENSIONER Short

NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram and Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector identification when diagnosing faults. See Figure & Figure .

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector and driver-side seat belt pretensioner connector. Check for continuity between terminal No. 1 (Light Green wire) and terminal No. 2 (Orange wire) of ADU connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity exists, replace harness from ADU to pretensioner. If continuity does not exist, replace pretensioner. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
