DTC 60: Passenger Module Open

NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram and Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector identification when diagnosing faults. See Figure & Figure .
  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. Check for continuity between ADU connector terminal No. 14 (Green-Yellow wire) and passenger-side air bag harness connector terminal No. 2 (Green-Yellow wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness between ADU and passenger-side air bag module. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. Check for continuity between terminal No. 13 (Green-Red wire) of ADU connector and terminal No. 3 (Green-Red wire) of passenger-side air bag harness connector. If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness. If continuity exists, replace passenger-side air bag module. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
