DTC 35: Warning Light Short

NOTE: Refer to wiring diagram and Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector identification when diagnosing faults. See Figure & Figure .
  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Access and disconnect Air Bag Diagnostic Unit (ADU) connector. Check for continuity between ADU connector terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace ADU. See AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC UNIT (ADU)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect wire connector located between ADU connector and instrument cluster connector. If continuity exists between ground and terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire) of ADU connector, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace wire harness between ADU and wire connector.
  3. Disconnect instrument cluster connector. Check for continuity between ground and terminal No. B11 (Yellow wire) of instrument cluster connector. If continuity exists, replace AIR BAG warning light bulb socket or instrument cluster. If continuity does not exist, replace harness between instrument cluster and in-line connector.
