DTC 35: Warning Light Short

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect ADU connector. Measure resistance between ADU connector terminal No. 7 (Yellow-Green wire) and ground. If resistance is not infinite, go to next step. If resistance is infinite, replace ADU. See AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC UNIT (ADU)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect ADU connector shorting bar connector. Measure resistance between ADU connector terminal No. 7 (Yellow-Green wire) and ground. If resistance is less than infinite, go to next step. If resistance is infinite, replace wire harness between ADU connector and ADU shorting connector.
  3. Disconnect instrument cluster connector at instrument cluster. Measure resistance between ground and instrument cluster connector terminal A9 (Yellow-Green wire). If resistance is less than infinite, replace instrument cluster or AIR BAG warning light bulb socket. If resistance is infinite, replace wire between ADU connector and instrument cluster connector.
