DTC 33: Power Supply Low

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect ADU harness connector. Reconnect negative battery cable. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and ADU harness connector terminal No. 5 (Red-Yellow wire). See Figure. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, go to step  3.
  2. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect ADU connector shorting bar connector. Turn ignition on. If battery voltage (9-16) volts is present at terminal No. 1 (Red-Yellow wire) of ADU short connector, replace wire harness between ADU short connector and ADU connector. See Figure. If battery voltage is not present, replace wire harness between AIR BAG fuse and ADU short connector. Go to step  4.
  3. Check for continuity between ground and ADU harness connector terminal No. 6 (Black wire). If continuity is present, check wire for intermittent open and repair as necessary. If continuity is not present, replace wire harness between ADU terminal No. 6 and ground. Go to next step.
  4. Activate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
