Removal & Installation

Raise and support vehicle. Drain engine oil. Remove oil dipstick tube. Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold. Remove transaxle brace and bell housing cover. Remove oil pan retaining bolts. Using Oil Pan Remover (MD998727), separate oil pan from cylinder block. Remove oil pan. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply an even bead of silicone sealant to oil pan sealing surface, inside of bolt holes. Install oil pan. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
