Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal: Removal

Remove transaxle. For A/T, see TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. For M/T, see appropriate article in CLUTCHES. Remove flywheel (M/T) or drive plate (A/T). DO NOT remove the flywheel bolt shown. See Figure. If bolt is removed, flywheel will become out of balance and damaged. Remove crankshaft bushing. Remove rear crankshaft oil seal.
