Sephia & Spectra

  1. Inspect HAZARD (15-amp) fuse, located in engine compartment fuse/relay box. Inspect TURN SIGNAL (10-amp) fuse, located in passenger compartment fuse box. Check for faulty turn signal bulbs. Check for loose or damaged connections. Repair or replace as required.
  2. Turn ignition on. Use voltmeter to measure voltage at combination switch connector Yellow/Blue wire. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit in Yellow/Blue wire between TURN SIGNAL (10-amp) fuse and hazard switch.
  3. Check for battery voltage at flasher module Red/Black wire. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, measure voltage at hazard switch Red/Black wire. If battery voltage is present, repair open circuit in Red/Black wire between hazard switch and flasher module. If battery voltage is not present, replace hazard switch.
  4. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between flasher module connector Black wire and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not indicated, repair open circuit in Black wire between flasher module and ground.
  5. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at flasher module connector Red/Blue wire. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace hazard switch.
  6. Measure voltage at turn signal switch connector Red/Blue wire. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit in Red/Blue wire between flasher module and turn signal switch.
  7. Set turn signal switch to left turn and measure voltage at turn signal switch connector Green/Yellow wire. Now set turn signal switch to right turn and measure voltage at Green/White wire. If battery voltage is not present on both wires, replace turn signal switch. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
  8. Set turn signal switch to left turn and measure voltage at left rear turn signal connector Green/Yellow wire. Now set turn signal switch to right turn and measure voltage at right rear turn signal connector Green/White wire. If battery voltage is not present on both wires, repair open circuit between turn signal switch and affected rear turn signal. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
  9. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between connector Black wire of affected rear turn signal and ground. If continuity is indicated, replace bulb socket. If continuity is not indicated, repair open circuit between bulb socket and ground.
