Ground Junction Connector/Terminal/Upgrade

PROCEDURE: RIO/SEPHIA/SPECTRA





1. Remove cap from junction connector and using needle nose pliers remove connecting strip from cap, discard cap.





2. Remove terminal retainer from junction connector.





3. Remove terminals from junction connector and discard connector.





4. Reinstall terminals onto connecting strip.

5. At existing terminal crimp, solder wires to terminals, then solder terminals to connecting strip.





6. Allow to cool, then tape terminals to prevent sharp edges from puncturing insulation on other wiring. Tape junction connector to harness.

7. Remove bolt from ground lug.

8. Solder wires to ground lug.





9. Remove paint at attaching point with sandpaper or small scraper.

10. Reattach ground lug.
