Shift Indicator - A/T: Description and Operation

Circuit Operation
With the ignition switch in ON or START, voltage is applied through the METER fuse to the transaxle range switch. The voltage flows through the selected positions of the switch to the corresponding indicator bulbs located in the instrument cluster, which then illuminate.

The P and R indicators are connected directly to ground. The N, D, 2, and 1 lights are grounded through the interior lights dimming circuit.
