Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair

Before servicing

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Wait 10 minutes for the backup power to discharge.

After servicing

1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Verify that air bag indicator illuminates for 4-6 seconds and then goes OFF.
