Diagnostic Test

  1. PERFORM THE CAM/CRANK RELEARN PROCEDURE WITH THE SCAN TOOL 
    NOTE:

    The "TLC Learn" Procedure must be performed every time the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been replaced or the "Reset Memory" routine has been performed with the scan tool. 

    1. Turn the ignition on.
      NOTE:

      The "Cam/Crank Relearn" procedure should be performed before the "TLC Learn" procedure. 

    2. With the scan tool select the "Cam/Crank Relearn" procedure under PCM Miscellaneous Menu Option and follow the on screen instructions.
      • Go To  2
  2. PERFORM THE TLC RELEARN PROCEDURE WITH THE SCAN TOOL 
    1. With the scan tool select the "TLC Learn" procedure under PCM Miscellaneous Menu Option and follow the on screen instructions.

      Did the PCM complete the "TLC Learn" procedure?

      Yes 

      • Repair is complete.

      No 

      • Start the process over until the "TLC Learn" procedure is completed.
