When Monitored
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
This diagnostic runs once after each ignition off cycle during the leak check diagnostic when the following conditions are true:
- Ignition off time more that 6 hours.
- Vehicle is not in a refueling event.
- Ambient temperature between approximately 4°C (40°F) and 35°C (95°F).
- Battery voltage above 11.0 volts.
- Fuel level is between 12% and 88%.
- The Fuel Tank counter has elapsed.
- During the leak testing (phase 5.2), after the fresh air side leak check passes, the FTIV is energized (opened) and the Change-Over Valve is cycled off and back on. After the Change-Over is energized (on) the entire system is evacuated and the Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor is monitored.
