MUA Valve - Turbo Mounted

REMOVAL
The Make Up Air (MUA) valve is mounted between the valve cover and turbocharger.
- Remove the engine cover.
- If equipped, remove the silencer pad.
1 - Crankcase Pressure Sensor Wire Harness Connector 2 - MUA Tube (Part of Intake Manifold) 3 - MUA To Turbocharger Port Quick-Connect Fitting - Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor wire harness connector.
- Remove the MUA Hose quick-connect fitting to turbocharger.NOTE:
Do not use any tools to remove the MUA tube quick connector. If tools are required to remove the quick connector, then the MUA tube must be replaced.
1 - MUA Port - Remove the MUA fitting from the turbocharger.
1 - MUA Check Valve - Remove the MUA check valve from the turbocharger.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Check the condition of the MUA valve fitting O-ring, replace if necessary and lubricate with clean engine oil.
- Check the condition of the MUA tube O-rings, replace if necessary and lubricate with clean engine oil.
- Check the condition of the MUA check valve O-ring, replace if necessary and lubricate with clean engine oil.
