The brake lamps and CHMSL each have a path to ground at all times through a takeout and eyelet terminal of the body wire harness secured to the body sheet metal. The BCM receives brake lamp information from the BSCM. The BCM then energizes a high side driver, which provides battery voltage to the brake lamps and CHMSL through tail/stop lamp rear feed circuits.
