Rear Exhaust Pipe: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    1 - Front Catalytic Converter to Exhaust Pipe V-band Clamp Bolt 4 - Rear Exhaust Pipe to Muffler Bolts
    2 - Rear Catalytic Converter to Exhaust Pipe V-band Clamp Bolt 5 - Front Exhaust Pipe to Muffler Bolts
    3 - Rear Exhaust Pipe 6 - Front Exhaust Pipe
  2. Loosen the front exhaust pipe to catalytic converter V-band clamp bolt. Using the (special tool #2049500110, Pliers, Exhaust System PSA) to spread open the exhaust clamp.
  3. Remove the front exhaust pipe to muffler bolts and the front exhaust pipe.
  4. Remove and discard the front exhaust pipe V-band clamp.
  5. Loosen the rear exhaust pipe to catalytic converter V-band clamp bolt. Using the (special tool #2049500110, Pliers, Exhaust System PSA) to spread open the exhaust clamp.
  6. Remove the rear exhaust pipe to muffler bolts and the rear exhaust pipe.
  7. Remove and discard the rear exhaust pipe V-band clamp.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
