PCV Valve

REMOVAL
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is mounted in the cylinder head cover.
- Remove the engine cover.
1 - PCV Hose 2 - PCV Valve - Remove the PCV Hose quick-connect fittings.NOTE:
Do not use any tools to remove the PCV tube quick connectors. If tools are required to remove the quick connector, then the PCV tube must be replaced.
- Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise 30 degrees then pull up and remove the PCV valve from the cylinder head cover.
- Check the condition of the two PCV valve O-rings and replace if necessary.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
- Lubricate the PCV valve O-rings with clean engine oil before installing.
