Transmission To Transmission Oil Cooler Tubes: Notes

REMOVAL
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.NOTE:
Plug and seal the ends of the transmission fluid cooler and the transmission fluid cooler lines to prevent leakage of oil, or moisture, contaminates, or impurities from entering into the system.
- Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler lines from the transmission oil cooler using (special tool #9546, Disconnect Tool).
1 - Transmission Oil Cooler 2 - Transmission Oil Cooler Lines - Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the transmission skid plate. Refer to PHEV - TRANSMISSION SKID PLATE .
- Remove the transmission oil cooler line bracket to engine bolts.NOTE:
Plug and seal the ends of the transmission oil cooler fittings and the transmission oil cooler lines to prevent leakage of oil, or moisture, contaminates, or impurities from entering into the system.
1 - Front Transmission Oil Cooler Line Bracket to Engine Oil Pan Bolt 2 - Rear Transmission Oil Cooler Line Bracket Bolt to Engine Oil Pan Bolt 3 - Transmission Oil Cooler Thermal Bypass Valve - Clean any dirt or debris from the areas of the transmission oil cooler line fittings.
1 - Transmission Oil Cooler Line to Transmission Bolt 2 - Transmission Oil Cooler line Quick Connect Fitting 3 - Transmission Oil Cooler Line Bundle - Remove the transmission oil cooler line to transmission bolt and separate line from transmission.
- Disconnect the transmission oil cooler line from the quick connect fitting using (special tool #9546, Disconnect Tool).
- Remove the transmission oil cooler line bundle from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to CHECK FLUID LEVEL .
