Theory Of Operation

The purpose of this diagnostic is to detect if the internal Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) communications are functioning between the micro controller and the current regulator. This DTC indicates a fault is detected:
- within the SPI communications between the micro-controller and the current regulator.
- within the micro controller (SPI unit).
- within the current regulator (SPI unit).
