Manual Park Release (MPR) Lever: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the fasteners and remove the front under hood closeout panel.

  2. Remove the fasteners and remove the left under hood closeout panel.

  3. Disconnect the hood latch cable from the hood latch.

  4. Remove all the hood latch cable stays from the body.
  5. Disconnect the Manual Park Release (MPR) lever cable from the MPR cable.

  6. Remove the left cowl trim. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove the MPR handle bracket to body nuts retaining the MPR lever.

  8. Remove all the MPR cable stays from the body.
  9. Using a small flat bladed tool, release the clip attaching the hood release handle to the instrument panel.

  10. Remove the grommet from the bulkhead and pull the cables into the vehicle.

  11. Remove the assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
