Removal And Installation: Starter: Notes

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
3. Remove fasteners that secure the frame reinforcement brace.

4. Remove the starter heat shield bolts and remove the heat shield from the starter.

5. Disconnect the starter solenoid wire harness connector from the starter.

6. Remove the starter B+ nut from the starter.
7. Remove the two starter bolts from the starter and remove the starter from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
