After a calibrated amount of cool down time, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) compares the Intake Air Temperature 2 value against absolute value of the difference between Intake Air Temperature 1 and the average value of low pressure EGR, Intake Manifold and Charge Air Cooler Temperature values to a calibrated threshold.
