Surge Valve

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
REMOVAL
- Remove the top engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the turbocharger wastegate actuator wire harness connector and disengage wire harness retainers.
- Unlock and disconnect the surge valve wire harness connector and detach the wire harness retainers.

INSTALLATION
The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Clean the gasket sealing surface.
- Install the surge valve complete with new seal and securely tighten the surge valve bolts.
