EGR Valve: Notes

REMOVAL

Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) inlet tube. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Disconnect the EGR valve wire harness connector.

2 - EGR Bolts

3 - EGR Valve

4 - Engine Cover Mounting Stud

5 - EGR Valve Harness Connector

Loosen the clamp and disconnect the EGR cold hose.
Remove the EGR valve bolts and the EGR valve.

INSTALLATION

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

Install a NEW O-ring making sure it is in the right position before installation.
If the EGR is being replaced, perform the EGR valve re-learn procedure.
