When Monitored

This diagnostic runs when the following conditions are met:

With the engine running in fuel delivery mode.
Battery voltage above 7.5 volts.
The difference between the engine coolant temperature and the actual engine oil temperature is less than 255°C (491°F) at engine start-up.
DTCs P0196, P0197, P0198, P1115 are not active.
To initiate the monitor, the model predicted engine oil temperature at engine start must be less than approximately 58°C (136.4°F). The monitor will stop running when the model predicted engine oil temperature becomes greater than 88°C (190.4°F).
