Transmission Oil Cooler: Notes

REMOVAL
- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the electric cooling fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 5.7L .
- Remove the left side radiator support bracket bolt and the left side radiator support bracket.
1 - Left Side Radiator Support Bracket Bolt 2 - Left Side Radiator Support Bracket 3 - Right Side Radiator Support Bracket Bolt 4 - Right Side Radiator Support Bracket 5 - Radiator - Remove the right side radiator support bracket bolt and the right side radiator support bracket.
- Remove the upper radiator air shroud.
- Using the (special tool #9546, Disconnect Tool), disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines.
1 - Transmission Cooler Lines - Remove the transmission oil cooler manifold bolt securing the transmission oil cooler manifold to the radiator.
1 - Transmission Cooler Manifold Bolt - Release the lock tabs and remove the transmission oil cooler.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Install the transmission oil cooler manifold bolt securely.
- Perform the transmission CHECK OIL LEVEL procedure Refer to CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
