Freedom Panel Flushness Instructions

The following procedure provides instructions to properly adjust the FREEDOM PANELS, also called (left hand and right hand) modular top panels.

This graphic shows Freedom Panels (1) that do not meet the flushness specification at front to windshield (Panel to Panel).

1. Remove the left hand modular top panel.
2. Lower the left hand visor (2), unhook and swing forward.

3. Remove the right hand modular top panel.

4. Lower the right hand visor (3), unhook and swing forward.
5. Pull down trim (1) covering the front center receivers (2).
   NOTE:

   Do not pull trim all the way off from the vehicle. Just enough to disengage the attachment clips (1) on each side.

6. Loosen the two receiver bracket bolts (1). Feel the bracket by hand to make sure it will move for adjustment.
   NOTE:

   Do not remove screws from the bracket, loosen only.

7. Adjust receiver (1) down. Do not adjust receiver all the way down to the bottom (2). The panels will over compress the windshield seal and increase latching at the front.

8. Tighten bolts (2) on the front receiver. Make sure the bracket (1) stays level and does not rotate.

9. Install the right hand and left hand modular panels and verify flushness between the panels and to the front windshield.

10. Remove both the right hand and left hand modular panels to secure trim (1).
11. Install the right hand and left hand modular panels return visors to the original position.
    NOTE:

    Be careful not to bend the clips when installing trim (review Step 5). Pull trim down and line up clips prior to securing.
