Diagnostic Test
- DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC NOTE:
Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active: B1C2F-00 PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR STATUS MISMATCH?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
- CHECK ORC PART NUMBER WITH SCAN TOOL
- With the scan tool, select ECU View, select ORC, select ECU Details, and read the ORC part number.
Is the part number correct for the vehicle?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the ORC with correct part number. Refer to CONTROLLER, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT (ORC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, select ECU View, select ORC, select ECU Details, and read the ORC part number.
- CHECK VIN WITH SCAN TOOL
- With the scan tool, read the VIN.
Is the correct VIN displayed?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Replace the ORC with correct part number. Refer to CONTROLLER, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT (ORC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read the VIN.
- CHECK CONFIGURATION
- Check the Configuration of the ORC.
Are there any problems found?
Yes
- Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Performing the Calibration resolved the issue.
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check the Configuration of the ORC.
