Battery Tray: Notes

REMOVAL
WARNING:
The battery negative and positive cable polarity are different from the gasoline engine equipped vehicles to the diesel engine equipped vehicles. Please note the location of the positive and negative cables prior to service of the battery or related components.
- Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the engine compartment Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Battery Tray 4 - Electric Cooling Fan Wire Harness Connector 2 - Bolt Blocker 5 - Wire Harness Retaining Clip 3 - Bolt Blocker Push-Pin 6 - Wire Harness Retainer - Remove the push-pin for the bolt blocker.
- Disconnect the electric cooling fan electrical connector.
- Remove the wire harness retainers from the battery tray and set the harness aside.
1 - Battery Tray Bolts 2 - Battery Tray - Remove the bolts from the battery tray.
- Remove the left front wheel splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Battery Tray Bolts - Remove the bolts that secure the bottom of the battery tray.
- Lift the battery tray out of the engine compartment and remove it from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
