The removable fluid reservoir is made of nylon reinforced with glass fiber with single filler cap. The reservoir stores reserve brake fluid for the hydraulic brake circuits and has a switch for indicating low fluid levels. The brake fluid level sensor sends its signal to the BCM to broadcast on the CAN data bus. BCM acquires the signal through an analog input with a pull-up resistor. The sensor is an ON/OFF switch with an additional parallel resistance of 1000 ohm ± 1% (the switch is open with correct fluid level).
The fluid reservoir can be replaced separately from the EBB if necessary.
