Removal And Installation: Installation
CAUTION:
Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.
- Install the flexplate (1) and the new bolts (3) hand tight.
- Install the (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking) (2).
- Tighten the new bolts (3) in the sequence shown in illustration, to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the flywheel locking tool (2).
- Install the transmission. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
