Inspection - Cylinder Head

1 - Straight Edge

2 - Feeler Gauge

Check the cylinder head for warping with a straight edge and a feeler gauge.
The cylinder head must be flat within specification. Refer to ENGINE - SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove any carbon or varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
Inspect the following components and verify that they are within specification. Refer to ENGINE - SPECIFICATIONS :
- Valve Springs
- Valve Seats
- Valve Guides
- Valves
