When Monitored

This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

Condition 1: 

• Current state of operating mode logic not in state separation clutch open and combustion engine on and powertrain open
• Current state of operating mode logic not in state separation clutch open and combustion engine on and powertrain closed
• Target state of operating mode logic not in state separation clutch closed and combustion engine on and powertrain open
• Target state of operating mode logic not in state separation clutch closed and combustion engine on and powertrain closed
• No fault detected with the combustion engine speed signal.
• No fault detected with the electric motor speed signal.
• Separation clutch status is open.
• Separation clutch torque is less than or equal to a calibrated value.
• Combustion engine torque is less than or equal to a calibrated value.
• Combustion engine speed is greater than or equal to a calibrated value.
• Combustion engine speed is less than or equal to a calibrated electric motor speed.
• Combustion engine speed gradient is greater than or equal to a calibrated value.

Condition 2: 

• Current of the separation clutch is greater than a calibrated value.
• Transmission is in DRIVE or REVERSE.
• Electric motor speed minus combustion engine speed greater than a calibrated value.
