- The chip 2 temperature sensor or the Central Processing Unit (CPU) reports an electrical failure and the temperature difference is greater than 255°C (491°F).
- The change in system temperature is greater than 5°C (41°F) in a calibrated amount of time with no failures detected in engine speed and Input Speed Sensor signals.
- The difference between the oil temperature sensor value and the chip 2 temperature sensor value is greater than 215°C (419°F) or the difference between the chip 2 temperature sensor and the chip 1 temperature sensor value is greater than 215°C (419°F) with no temperature jump detected in chip 2.
- The change in system temperature is less than 5°C (41°F) in a calibrated amount of time with the engine speed greater than 400 RPM or the difference between the oil temperature sensor value and the chip 2 temperature sensor value is greater than 215°C (419°F) with a transmission input speed is greater than 400 RPM.
- The difference between the chip 2 temperature sensor and the chip 1 temperature sensor value is greater than 215°C (419°F) with engine speed or the transmission input speed is greater than a calibrated threshold for greater than or equal to 5.0 minutes.
- The chip 2 temperature delta between two measurements is greater than 20°C (68°F) in 0.6 second. With no failure detected in the chip 2 monitoring.
