Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs.
  Are any PCM DTCs set?
  
  Yes
  - Diagnose and repair the PCM DTCs in accordance with the Service Infrmation. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 2.0L or DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 5.7L .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK FOR ENGINE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
1. Determine if any Engine mechanical problems are present.
  Are any Engine mechanical problems present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair Engine in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
