Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.NOTE:
This DTC is set when the APP Sensor values are learned in-plant but do not reach the minimum or maximum voltage range.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Start the engine.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
Is the DTC active or pending?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- Turn the ignition on.
- CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
- Review the recorded DTCs.
Are there any APP Sensor out of range or 5-Volt Supply DTCs active or pending?
Yes
- Conduct the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to: DTC INDEX (1 OF 3) and/or DTC INDEX (2 OF 3) and/or DTC INDEX (3 OF 3) .
No
- Go To 3
- Review the recorded DTCs.
- PERFORM THE ETC RELEARN FUNCTION AND RETEST FOR DTC
- With a scan tool perform the ETC RELEARN function.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Start the engine.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active or pending?
Yes
- Replace the APP Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to: PEDAL, ACCELERATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 5.7L ENGINE . After installation is complete, perform the ETC RELEARN function.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test Complete. Performing the ETC Relearn function repaired the condition.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
