Transmission Oil Cooler Line Jumper: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the transmission skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Transmission Oil Cooler Line Bolt
    2 - Transmission Oil Cooler Line Quick-Connect End
    3 - Transmission Oil Cooler Line Jumper
    NOTE:

    Plug and seal the ends of the transmission oil cooler fittings and the transmission oil cooler lines to prevent leakage of oil, or moisture, contaminates, or impurities from entering into the system.

  3. Clean any dirt or debris from the areas of the transmission oil cooler line jumper fittings.
  4. Remove the transmission oil cooler line bolt and separate the hose from the transmission.
  5. Using (special tool #9546, Disconnect Tool), release the transmission oil cooler jumper hose quick connect end from the transmission and remove the hose from the vehicle.
