Removal And Installation: Transmission: Installation

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

If a replacement transmission is being installed, transfer any components necessary.
Power up the high voltage system. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE POWER UP .
Power up the 12-volt system. Refer to 12 VOLT BATTERY CONNECT or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - 5.7L .
If the transmission or valve body has been replaced, program the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
If the transmission has been replaced, using the scan tool, perform the Resolver Offset Relearn Trigger procedure.
Fill the transmission with appropriate fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FILL AFTER SERVICE .
Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
