Manual Park Release (MPR) Cable: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    1 - Manual Park Release Cable Bracket Bolts
    2 - Manual Park Release Bracket and Cable Assembly
    3 - Manual Park Release Cable End
  2. Disconnect the Manual Park Release (MPR) cable end from the MPR lever.
  3. Remove the MPR cable bracket bolts and the MPR cable from the transmission.

  4. Remove the cable stays holding the cable to the transmission.
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

    1 - MPR Cable (Transmission side)
    2 - MPR Cable (Lever side)
  6. Disconnect the MPR cable from the MPR lever cable and remove from the vehicle.
