Diagnostic Test- WL PHEV Coolant Pumps

DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
P0C73-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "A" CONTROL PERFORMANCE 
  1. Repair any low voltage DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Check the Low Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  4. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. Load test the B+ feed to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 1. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 6.
  6. Load test the Ground to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 1. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 7.
  7. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 1 in accordance with the Service Information.
P0C74-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "B" CONTROL PERFORMANCE 
  1. Repair any low voltage DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Check the Low Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  4. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. Load test the B+ feed to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 6.
  6. Load test the Ground to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 7.
  7. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2 in accordance with the Service Information.
P1EA2-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "A" TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE 
  1. Check the Low Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  2. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  3. Replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 1 in accordance with the Service Information.
P1EA3-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "B" TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE 
  1. Check the Low Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  2. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  3. Replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2 in accordance with the Service Information.
P1EA4-00 HYBRID / EV BATTERY PACK COOLANT PUMP "A" TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE 
  1. Repair any Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) inlet or outlet temp sensor DTCs. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Check the Battery Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temp Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  3. Repair Battery Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  4. Replace the Battery Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
P1EA5-00 COOLANT PUMP "A" TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE 
  1. Check the High Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the High Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  2. Repair the High Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  3. Replace the High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
P2601-00 ELECTRIC COOLANT PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE/STUCK OFF 
  1. Repair any Low voltage DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Check the High Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the High Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  3. Repair the High Temperature Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 4.
  4. Load test the B+ feed to the High Temperature Auxiliary Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. Load test the Ground to the High Temperature Auxiliary Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 6.
  6. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the High Temperature Auxiliary Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
P2B28-00 HYBRID / EV BATTERY PACK COOLANT PUMP "A" PERFORMANCE 
  1. Repair any Low voltage DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Check the Battery Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Battery Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
  4. Repair Battery Cooling Loop and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. Load test the B+ feed to the Battery Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 6.
  6. Load test the Ground to the Battery Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 7.
  7. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the Battery Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
P2B29-00 HYBRID / EV BATTERY PACK COOLANT PUMP "A" OVERSPEED / AIR IN SYSTEM 
  1. Check the Battery Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Battery Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
    4. Air pockets in the Battery Cooling Loop. (Vacuum bleed Battery Cooling Loop).
  2. Repair Battery Cooling Loop and retest.
P2D01-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "A" OVERSPEED/AIR IN SYSTEM 
  1. Check the Low Temp Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
    4. Air pockets in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop. (Vacuum bleed Low Temperature Cooling Loop).
  2. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest.
P2D06-00 MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "B" OVERSPEED/AIR IN SYSTEM 
  1. Check the Low Temperature Cooling Loop for the following:
    1. Low coolant level.
    2. Leaks in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop.
    3. Restrictions such as pinched or blocked hoses.
    4. Air pockets in the Low Temperature Cooling Loop. (Vacuum bleed Low Temperature Cooling Loop).
  2. Repair Low Temperature Cooling Loop and retest.
U0623-00 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH COOLANT PUMP "A" 
  1. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Check the LIN Bus circuit to the High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump is not open or shorted to ground. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Load test the B+ feed to the High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 4.
  4. Load test the Ground to the High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
U0646-00 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "A" 
  1. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Check the LIN Bus circuit to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump is not open or shorted to ground. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Load test the B+ feed to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 4.
  4. Load test the Ground to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump in accordance with the Service Information.
U0647-00 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLANT PUMP "B" 
  1. Repair any LIN Bus communication DTCs and retest. If OK, go to step 2.
  2. Check the LIN Bus circuit to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2 is not open or shorted to ground. If OK, go to step 3.
  3. Load test the B+ feed to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 4.
  4. Load test the Ground to the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2. Repair if necessary and retest. If OK, go to step 5.
  5. If all powers and grounds load test OK, replace the Low Temperature Coolant Pump 2 in accordance with the Service Information.
